These Terms govern your use of menthra — our AI companion ecosystem (Nova, Ally, Sage, Bloom, Evoke), web app, mobile apps, and related services. menthra helps you resolve — it is not a substitute for emergency care. Non-clinical tiers are wellness support, not clinical treatment. By using menthra, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
menthra is operated by menthra Inc., a Delaware C-Corporation with operations in the United States and India. When we say "menthra," "we," "us," or "our," we mean menthra Inc. and its subsidiaries. When we say "you" or "your," we mean you — the person using menthra.
menthra is a mental wellness platform where your story does not reset every session. Instead of helping you cope indefinitely, menthra helps you resolve the patterns underneath. We offer four companion tiers plus a clinical tier:
Nova, Ally, Sage, and Bloom provide wellness support — not clinical treatment. Only Evoke connects you with licensed providers operating under their own professional scope and state/jurisdictional licensing.
When you use menthra, you agree:
We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations. For urgent safety violations, suspension may be immediate.
menthra offers different pricing in the United States and India. Your price is determined by your primary jurisdiction at signup. Prices are shown before purchase in your local currency where supported.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate. We will notify you of material price changes at least 30 days in advance.
You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting support@menthra.ai. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law. For India users, refund rights required by applicable consumer protection law apply and take precedence over this clause.
Your use of Menthra is subject to our Fair Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Fair Use Policy describes usage limits, including a daily limit on voice conversations, and the circumstances under which usage may be throttled or suspended. Usage limits never apply to crisis support. The current Fair Use Policy is available at menthra.ai/legal/fair-use.
The menthra platform — its code, design, companion personas (Nova, Ally, Sage, Bloom, Evoke), trademarks, content, and AI systems — is owned by menthra Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works without our written consent.
You retain ownership of what you write, speak, or upload to menthra. By using the platform, you grant us a limited, revocable license to process that content solely to provide and improve the service for you, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use that feedback without compensation or attribution.
Important
menthra's AI companions (Nova, Ally, Sage, Bloom) are wellness support tools. They are not licensed therapists. They do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. They do not issue prescriptions, make clinical recommendations, or provide medical advice.
Evoke connects you with licensed therapists. Evoke sessions are clinical in nature and governed by the clinician's professional scope and your jurisdiction's telehealth rules.
menthra is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911 (US), 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or your local emergency number. Crisis detection is an automated safety feature with inherent limitations — it may miss situations or generate false alerts. Do not rely on menthra as a crisis safety mechanism.
Your data is handled under our Privacy Policy. menthra is HIPAA-aligned — we implement HIPAA administrative, physical, and technical safeguards. Data routed to AI infrastructure providers is de-identified under the HIPAA Safe Harbor standard (45 CFR §164.514(b)). We are not a HIPAA covered entity and do not claim HIPAA certification.
For employer-provisioned (Ally) users: your individual conversations are never shared with your employer. Your employer sees only aggregate, de-identified engagement metrics. See the Employer Deployment acknowledgement.
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that menthra will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate or complete for your situation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, menthra and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.
Our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid menthra in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, or to gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Before formal disputes, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter informally for at least 30 days by contacting legal@menthra.ai.
We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will notify you by email and in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect. For material changes we will require re-acceptance before continued use. Non-material changes (clarifications, typo fixes, contact updates) take effect upon posting.
You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, the Acceptable Use rules in Section 4, or if required by law. On termination, your data is retained for 90 days to allow export, then deleted — except where legal retention is required.
If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. These Terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Notice, and the consent pages you have accepted constitute the entire agreement between you and menthra.
